Dingwall Wind Co-op Community Fund OPEN for applications until January 31st, 2020

Community groups from Ross-shire are invited to apply for grants of £250-£2500 from the Dingwall Wind Co-op Community Fund for projects that will improve public access to the countryside

The closing date for applications to the Fund is January 31st, 2020.  Decisions will be made by the Dingwall Wind Co-op Board thereafter.

The Fund is provided by Dingwall Wind Co-op to benefit those living in Ross-shire.  The theme of “Improving Access To The Countryside” was chosen to run for five years following a ballot of Dingwall Wind Co-op shareholders.

Constituted not-for-profit groups only can apply for grants from the fund.

As you can see we are nearly there – waiting for a drop in wind to get the blades up:

 

Turbine on its way

Our turbine being loaded up in Germany. It’s predicted to make its way to site in a weeks time – we’re trying to find out the route so members can look out for it on the way past! Some pictures for now:

 

 

Foundations complete

Foundations are now complete and it even looks as if the turbine may be going up a bit ahead of schedule – watch this space. For now, some pictures of the foundations – the ring of bolts will attach to the base of the turbine tower and you can see the cable ready to connect. Foundation1 Foundation2
